 Step 1
Wash rice and urad dal thoroughly until clean water starts falling from them. Then add fenugreek seeds and leave rice and lentils in water for 4 to 6 hours to flourish separately. Then after grinding all the remaining water of urad dal, grind it finely and prepare a paste, if it takes water to grind then add it according to your need.
 Step 2
Then after grinding the rice too rough, mix both the paste well in a large bowl so that their batter is neither too thick nor too thin.
 Step 3
After this, keep the idli batter separately to lift the yeast properly, because only then you can get soft and fluffy idli to eat. So keep the batter in a warm place and once the yeast gets rid of it, add salt to it and mix it again.
 Step 4
Now put oil in the idli mold and fill it with a spoon and put batter and prepare all the idli molds in this way. Then add 1/2 cup of water in the Idli Stimmer and boil it to make steam and put the Idli stand inside it and close the lid. After that, after keeping idli in steam for 8 to 10 minutes, turn off the gas.
 Step 5
If you are using a cooker to make idli, then whisk the idli for 10 minutes without whistling. However, after making both ways, wait for the steam to evaporate completely and then take out the idli stand and wait for 5 minutes. Then roll out the idli with a sharp knife. Then serve with coconut or red coconut chutney.
